Blessed to Have Been Invited a Third Time as a Public Speaker to St. Hilary Elementary School
I was happy to be returning to St. Hilary Elementary School again this morning. Since my last visit here, there were still a couple of classes that had wanted me to present to them as a Public Speaker. On this visit all remaining classes were scheduled to congregate in the library after respective morning prayers in their classes.
When we arrived, Ms. Rubino, the school’s administrative assistant, advised us that we were indeed setting up in the library. We signed in, greeted Ms. Calvert and made our way to the library. The library was beautiful with its’ wall mounted smart board and its desktop situated right by its side. A teacher, working in the library, kindly turned on the desktop and the laptop. The set up was simple and easy. Everything worked on the first try.
Shortly after school started, Ms. Nwakoby grade two class and Ms. Subic’s grade one class came into the library. Ms. Nwakoby and her class were very happy to see me again, as I was to see them.
Ms. Calvert also graced the library and gave an informative introduction about the challenges experienced by those, who have special needs. She added; how important it is not to make conclusions based on appearances.
The students attentively listened to my Public Speaking presentation. They enjoyed applauding me throughout my presentation. They were certainly a joyful, enthusiastic and most appreciative audience. They made me smile so much and they filled my heart with memorable heartwarming joy.
During the question period, students politely raised their hands to ask questions. They were an endearing friendly audience and I was just so delighted by their genuine interest.
As recess was soon approaching, the question period came to an end. Blank Exit Tickets were given to the teachers, to be completed at their convenience, with their respective students.
Ms. Carriere, an Educational Resource Worker, approached me once all the classes left. She shared how much she enjoyed my presentation too. She happily took a picture with me in the library.
Before leaving, we went to the office to say good-bye to the wonderful Principal, Ms. Calvert; however, she was away from her office, in a meeting. We signed out from the Visitor’s Booklet and said good-bye to the gracious Ms. Rubino.
It’s a blessing to have been invited to St. Hilary Elementary School as a Public Speaker three times. I’m very pleased to have had the opportunity to speak with all grades from one to eight during my three visits here too. At each visit, I met warm and friendly staff, who made me feel so welcomed. I feel honoured to have inspired each student in personal and unique ways. God Bless St. Hilary Elementary School Always.
